Partnering with World Coffee Research

Science and innovation are an essential basis for improving the ‘goodness’ of coffee: how good it tastes, how good it is for the planet, and how good it is for people who grow it. Through La Marzocco’s support of World Coffee Research, Accademia Del Caffè Espresso contributes to the long-term preservation of coffee origin diversity in the face of the climate crisis, driving innovation for coffee agriculture with a focus on professionalizing nurseries and seed systems, conducting variety trials, and accelerating breeding system modernization to improve quality in the cup. Taken together, this work enables farmers to access better varieties for resilience and profitability.
